Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how NoGapPrep ("NoGapPrep," "we," "us") handles information in connection with the practice exams and related pages available at nogapprep.com (the "Service"). This policy is written in plain language for a pre-launch, U.S.-focused product; please have it reviewed by legal counsel before you begin processing payments or collecting additional personal data.
1. Information we collect
The Service currently runs entirely in your browser and does not have a user-account system or backend database. Specifically:
- Name field: The name you type before starting a practice exam is used only to personalize your on-screen results and is not transmitted to any NoGapPrep server or stored outside your own browser session.
- Usage data: We do not currently run analytics or tracking scripts. If we add an analytics tool (such as Google Analytics) in the future, this policy will be updated first, and that tool's own cookie and data practices will be disclosed here.
- Payment data: The Service does not process payments today. When paid plans launch, this section will be updated to name the payment processor and describe what data it collects before any payment feature goes live.
2. How we use information
Any information you enter is used solely to operate the practice exam experience (for example, displaying your name on the results screen) and is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
3. Cookies and local storage
The Service may use your browser's local storage to remember in-progress preferences on your device. We do not currently use tracking or advertising cookies.
4. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for users preparing for adult professional certifications and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
5. Your privacy rights (California and other states)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) to know what personal information we hold about you, request deletion of it, or opt out of its sale. NoGapPrep does not sell personal information. Because the Service does not currently store personal data on a server, most requests can be satisfied by simply clearing your browser data; you may still contact us using the details below with any privacy request or question.
6. Data security
We take reasonable technical measures (such as HTTPS encryption and a restrictive content-security policy) to protect the Service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves, particularly once payment processing and analytics are introduced. We will update the effective date above when changes are made.
